Lactation is the period of breastfeeding in which the mammary glands develop and mature with the hormones produced during pregnancy and milk is secreted. Breastfeeding is an important process that brings many benefits for the baby and mother. As long as the mother continues to breastfeed, pays attention to her nutrition and exercises, her body mass index (BMI) decreases along with weight loss. When the correlation between breastfeeding duration and BMI values was examined, no statistically significant result was found (p>0.05). However, when the direction of the effect of breastfeeding frequency on BMI is examined; A statistically significant result was found (p<0.05). While no significant result was found when looking at the relationship between the number of daily meals and BMI changes three months after birth (p>0.05), a moderate negative correlation was observed between the frequency of consumption of dried fruit in snacks and BMI three months after birth in the same period. When the BMI value and exercise frequency three months after birth were analyzed, there was borderline significance at the p value (0.05
